Hanover Off and Running to Home Base

The following is our 1st student blog. We are very excited to share Alex Harper’s Senior Humanities Project. As a student in the Sports in Society class, we will use our resources to help Alex reach his goal.

We also might encourage him to set a higher goal, because this is such a great cause, he is a very creative and resourceful young man, Hanover High is a great school, and the Hanover community is very supportive. So……. here is our 1st student blog post. Check back for updates. We will be following up with an interview with Alex.

My name is Alex Harper and I am a senior at Hanover High School. This year, as part of graduation requirements, every individual takes part in a “Senior Project” that helps the community. I chose to run the 9K “Run to Home Base” that benefits the veterans suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

After college, I hope to be commissioned in the Navy so I thought it was fitting to complete a project that assists veterans. In order to compete in the race a set amount of money must be raised. Even the smallest donation would be helping veterans who have fought to protect our freedom.

Donations can be made by following this link and clicking donate. Thanks for reading. -Alex Harper
